simon fuller signed the spice girls after cowell turned them down and subsequently lost the earnings for, i don't know, 37.5 million records!!??
fuller's sucess with both the spice girls and pop idol, drove old cowelly mad with envy, though hes now trouncing it with xfactor...
Lets take a little look at one of cowells flops though...
this was his 'attempt' at recreating the spice girls' success...Girl Thing! apparently so enthralled by their rivals that they basically copied the ‘Wannabe' video for their debut single??
